Hello everybody, it has been a while since I last posted in my dear blog. I stopped posting as I was working on the new chocolate creative website, which has taken much longer than I anticipated. I am happy to announce that the new website is now live, I hope you find it easier to navigate and inspiring. The new design now include this blog, so both the online shop and the blog can be viewed from the same platform. Please bear with me, while I revise old posts, change links, adjust photo sizes, etc…as the migration of the content has not been as easy as I thought.
Back in 2009 I started chocolate creative without a clear business strategy in place, I didn’t know my goals, target market, distribution channels, risks, and most sure didn’t have any kind of investment ready, all the things we are advised to take into consideration before jumping into any business venture. One of the first things I did was to open a shop online, followed by many unsuccessful market days, more profitable trade shows, bad decisions and very good ones too. Over the years I have learned many things by making expensive mistakes, and working very hard, what started as an outlet for my creativity, passion for design and interiors has become my main job and source of income. The brand has evolved to adjust to unpredictable market changes, and personal circumstances to what is today. I have invested every single penny I had left, and poured a great deal of energy and time to make it work. As a small independent business/life style brand, the resources are few, and the risks very high, but I still feel very strong about chocolate creative.
The new website reflects the direction chocolate creative is taking, there is a new section called bespoke, where you can find information about the made to order service. After launching the wooden knobs back in 2011 the demand for a more in detail service has increased and as a result the bespoke handles, furniture pulls and knobs lines was launched.
I hope you find the customer gallery inspiring. This section is dedicated to chocolate creative’s customers, and shows how creative they can be. I love seeing how people use the products in their homes and commercial projects. To keep adding photos I need your help, so if you have bought some of the products, please don’t be shy and send the photos, I am always very interested in seeing how the handmade products make your homes more beautiful and practical.
I will continue to blog about things that inspire me, places I visit and my own work and brand, I hope you find it inspiring and entertaining too!
